what's Brewing in Bradford?

About Bradford

Bradford, Pennsylvania, is nestled in a valley in the Allegheny Mountains and has a rich community founded on industry and innovation. Since the 1800s, Bradford has been a center for oil production. Kendall Motor Oil, initially refined in Bradford, is named after Kendal Creek, which runs through parts of this town. Bradford is also the birthplace of the Zippo lighter. After 90 years, Zippo's headquarters, factory, and museum are located in Bradford today.

Even though this rural PA community is the birthplace of iconic brands and industries, small businesses are the backbone of the community. From the quilting supply shop to the gift shop with the beautiful vintage tin ceiling and the boardgame cafe to the goldfish farm, Bradford quite literally has something for everyone. These hardworking people go to work every day and get the opportunity to do what they love, which is evident as soon as you step into their stores.

The Zippo/Case Museum has been a pinnacle of tourism since it was established in 1997. In addition t

Zippo Case Museum

The Zippo/Case Museum has been a pinnacle of tourism since it was established in 1997. In addition to the famous Zippo repair center, the museum has exhibits that showcase Zippo’s influence during WWII, in film and television, and in the music industry.

Marilla Reservoir and Trails

The Marilla Reservoir was built at the turn of the 20th century and is just a stone’s throw from the city of Bradford. At the Reservoir, you can enjoy a day of fishing, kayaking, and hiking the 1-mile trail around the water.

Marilyn Horne Museum

Grammy-Award-winning opera singer Marilyn Horne called Bradford home for her early years, and the Marylin Horne Museum is dedicated to her dazzling career. See exhibits that showcase her fabulous work and get a fresh drink at the café!

Kinzua Skywalk

The Kinzua Viaduct was the longest railroad structure until it was partially destroyed by a tornado in 2003. Now, the Viaduct has been transformed into a Skywalk, and there’s no place better to take in the breathtaking scenery of the Allegheny National Forest.
